HOUSING

Georgetown University is able to offer a negotiated group-rate in the New South Dormitory for Institute participants.  Housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Double occupancy rooms are available for the seven days of the conference.  As we expect the reserved rooms to go quickly please reserve your room NOW if you want to be assured of housing.  It is best to submit a reservation even if there is a slight chance you will not need it--this way we can ensure space for everyone.

Double occupancy rates are $41.22 room/night including tax; or $20.61 per occupant per night.  Conference participants seeking single rooms can pay the full $41.22 per night.  There will also be a one-time $8.46 per person charge for linens, includes towel and bed linens.

Participants who would like to share a room, but are unable to locate a roommate, should notify Amy Shuster and she will find you a suitable match.

According to University policy: male and female conference participants may be housed on the same floor of a residence hall but will be provided with separate sleeping accommodations and bathroom facilities.  Shared rooms are reserved for married couples or occupants of the same sex.

Occupants may check into their pre-reserved room b/w 4-9pm on Saturday, June 10; and must check-out before 10am on Saturday, June 17th.  We will provide a secure space for baggage on the first and last day of the Institute.

Early and late stays are available, but not assured unless prior notification is given to conference organizers.  Different rates may apply.  For more information, contact Amy Shuster at shustera@georgetown.edu .

Please submit the form at the end of this message and return it no later than Friday May 19, 2000 to

PLEASE NOTE that the negotiated rates are only available if you return the form by May 19th.  Conference participants should also note that organizers will provide coffee/tea and light danishes each morning.

Food is also available in the student center--Leavey Center.  Fast food is available: Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and a sandwich center.  The student coop, Vital Vittels, also has prepared foods, especially for vegetarians.
