The Institute

The Summer Institute on Culture and Society is an annual forum for engagement with Marxist ideas. The Institute generally takes place over five days in mid-June. Events include invited speakers, reading groups, and consecutive (as opposed to concurrent) panels.

2009: Portland

In 2009 the Institute will be held at Portland State University and is tentatively scheduled for June 16-20. Reading groups will focus on contemporary political economy in relation to classical Marxian texts. Further details will be coming to this space.
